Dear beloved community,
I just finished a beautiful IG live and got disconnected so I thought I would send you a quick love note. During the live, I shared that these past few months, for me, have been about going for the “BIG THING”.
Many of us will never go for it! Many of us will allow for time to pass us by! Many of us are terrified of going for the things we ACTUALLY desire because we feel inadequate, unprepared or unqualified.
Tonight, as I was going for a “big thing,” there was a voice that whispered, don’t go for that, you’re too old. I went for it anyway! Period.
My new mantra:
GO FOR THE BIG THING ALICIA!

Seeking the "big thing" in life is a journey inward, a journey of the spirit as much as it is a pursuit of material or worldly goals. It's an aspiration that taps into the deepest realms of our being, inviting us to explore our purpose, potential, and connection with something greater than ourselves.
We may absolutely get the NO! We may very well experience rejection. The truth is that that opportunity may not be for us. But what’s meant for us will never miss us. The path to the "big thing" is rarely a straight line, and setbacks can be disheartening. I have spent four years giving my entire heart to the La Santera Store. But the truth is, this is not what I saw in my life plan, but I went anyway. I went where I was led. I went where I was needed. And now spirit is guiding me on another path. So while we might experience moments of adversity I pray that we learn patience, resilience, and the value of trusting.
Delays are never denials.
I know this with certainty now.
The "big thing" invites us to relinquish the illusion of control. It requires trust in the universe or whatever higher power we believe in. We cannot predict every twist and turn on this path, but we can have faith that there is a purpose to the journey, even in moments of uncertainty.
Ultimately, the pursuit of the "big thing" is not merely about reaching a destination but about becoming the person we are meant to be. And everyday is an opportunity for us to reach higher--dream bigger! This "big thing" is about our spiritual awakening, an inner transformation, and a continuous exploration of our potential.
So today, as I celebrate the fourth anniversary of La Santera's metaphysical store opening on October 25, 2019, I find myself at a crossroads. I find myself thinking about my NEXT BIG THING! It is with a mix of emotions that I announce the transformation of this beloved LA SANTERA community and space. While it may seem like we're closing the doors, we're actually opening new ones to bring you even greater--bigger offerings in the future.
