About the Event
We are excited to announce the “Sponsor a Writer” program! As we prepare to host our 9th Annual Sankofa Sisterhood Writers Retreat we are inviting you to become a sponsor and support talented writers of color who may face various barriers such as disabilities, caregiving responsibilities, or those who come from working class backgrounds, or have low income. Your contribution will make available scholarships where they can attend the entire retreat at no cost to them.
We have designed a sponsorship program with five different levels:
- $50 Sponsorship: As a thank you for your support, you will receive a personalized thank you letter from the writer you are sponsoring.
- $100 Sponsorship: In addition to the thank you letter, you will receive a digital copy of the writer's latest published work.
- $200 Sponsorship: Along with the previous rewards, you will receive a signed physical copy of the writer's latest published work.
- $300 Sponsorship: In appreciation of your support, you will receive a signed physical copy of the writer's latest published work, a handwritten note of gratitude from the writer, and an exclusive invitation to attend a private virtual reading or Q&A session with the writer.
- $900 Sponsorship: As a major sponsor, you will receive all the rewards mentioned above, as well as a special acknowledgement in the writer's next published work, recognizing your invaluable contribution. Your logo will be placed on all marketing materials.
Your sponsorship will not only support these talented writers but also empower them to share their voices and work with the world. By investing in their dreams, you are helping to create a more inclusive and diverse literary landscape.
