INTRODUCTION to La Regla de Ocha - ANCESTRAL VENERATION (Two part class)

THIS WEEKS CLASS: Iku lobi ocha, Ancestral Veneration! During this class we will discuss the importance of honoring our ancestors. We will learn how to connect with eggun (our dead/our ancestors/our spiritual portrait). You will learn how to create your boveda, and how to deepen your spiritual connection--accessing a spiritual vault.

Ancestral reverance is one of the fundamental pillars of African religions. In the Yorubá religion it is said that, el muerto pario el santo, the dead gave birth to the saints--(ikú lobi ocha) and before invoking and asking for blessings (moyugba) from the orishas, the dead must be honored first.

We are offering two classes for $45.00

Last class of the year is scheduled for Wednesday, December 29th.

This is our 10th class in the series, Lucumi: La Regla de Ocha, The Rules of the Orisha. Please note that IFA / Lucumi y La Regla de Ocha are mysteries for a reason. There are many things that the workshop WILL NOT cover. We will not be sharing what happens in sacred rites and initiations. This workshop is an introduction to the religion—a place where aleyos and practitioners can join for community and spiritual reflection.
