About the Event
Last year we were called to cancel our yearly writers retreat to the Catskills Mountains due to COVID hitting us. We wanted to honor our yearly gathering by moving the Sankofa Writers Retreat online. We are so thankful to all of the facilitators and writers who said yes amidst all of this chaos we are living through… and we say living through because we have been through worse and we will get through this/we will thrive. If the pandemic has taught us anything it is the importance of protecting ourselves and those we love.
During this time of political uncertainty, fear, and complete disregard for humanity, now more than ever we must take the time to care for ourselves.
